The Shower
The shower is a magical place
The warm water allows the mind to wander
It seeps in through the scalp
And whispers ideas the dry mind would never ponder
Does My PC Dream of Me
Here I come again or maybe
There I go
It’s so hard to tell now
What happened and what my mind
Creates for show
The Voice of the Hills
Such a beautiful girl
Beautiful girl
My, a humble one, aren’t we?
Aren’t we?
Well, no matter, just tell me your name.
Your name
Watch the Road
When I was a passenger
I never looked at the road
Never considered it
I saw the landscape
Pushed to the sideline
Like vegetables
On a child’s plate
Best Time Gone By
Has the best day of my life
Already passed me
By?
Has the best gone by
With the blink of an
Eye?
Rainy Train at Midnight
The repetitive thumping of the train on the tracks and the pitter patter of rain on the window made me think I was in a movie. Outside the window there wasn’t much to see, just the void with the occasional town of lights. The view was much better inside: the dark, hand-carved oak that adorned every wall, the white tablecloths that covered every table, the lamps that curved out of the wall and shone on every couple.
Reluctant Awakening
As I sat in my chair watching the television, pills going from my hand to my mouth more often than a child with M&Ms, I heard the door open and close quickly. I sat there, calm, without a care in the world. Another pill entering my mouth.
A Shadow of Himself
The wind billows through your jeans on the cold night, your torso protected from the onslaught of the element of peace by your leather jacket. Your face is hidden behind a black helmet, your black hair pushed against your scalp.
Completely
I want to hit the world
I want to punch this earth so hard
That its entire population have no choice
But to look at me
A Glance at the Ashes
I looked down at the ashes
Gathered in a bag
One pile of soot
And I didn’t understand
